The team has sought to positively engage with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council through the Local Plan process, setting out a sustainable concept for development within a Spatial Vision document, which is supported by a comprehensive technical evidence base.
As an active participant in the examination of the draft Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Plan, which remains ongoing, St. Philips has undertaken a critique of the Borough’s housing land supply position and has demonstrated through submissions to the Inspector that the site at Bulkington Lane is deliverable and would make a significant contribution in reducing a housing shortfall in the Borough.
If delivered, the development will also see the creation of a new Country Park in the Borough, helping to strike an appropriate balance in planning terms when considering the need to preserve the role and function of the surrounding Green Belt in this area.
St. Philips have created a compelling case to be presented to the Inspector for the site’s allocation, which would be achieved through Main Modifications to the Borough Plan, with the Examination expected to conclude in Summer 2018. An outline planning application will be submitted thereafter, upon an allocation being secured.
