The Team behind The Team

Working with St Philips will give you access to some of the best expertise in the sector, and this doesn’t just apply to our in house team, it also applies to our supporting cast of specialist consultants who provide us with their invaluable expertise in a number of different disciplines.

Some of our longest serving consultants are Jon Kirby (Lichfields), James deHavilland (Barton WIllmore) and Mark Nettleton (PJA).

Jon has over 25 years’ experience gained within the public and private sectors across the midlands, south east and south west. This includes experience of planning applications, public enquiries and the strategic promotion of projects. Jon is commercially aware, having gained experience within different sectors, including at a senior level for a national house builder and within local government. Jon has particular experience in the strategic promotion of land through the development plan process and in securing planning permission for residential development.

James has over 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors including 20 years creating sustainable, mixed use masterplans and providing urban design advice to the private sector.  His public sector experience includes 4 years as a Development Control Officer at a high level and 3 years as a Listed Building and Conservation Officer. His recent experience ranges from large urban extension projects to quarry/heavy industry regeneration schemes, pioneering a new approach to the layout of mixed use sustainable neighbourhoods.

Mark is a Transport Planner with over 18 years of experience of providing technical and strategic advice to public and private sector clients for the development of residential, retial, commercial and mixed use schemes.

One of our newer additions to the support team is BWB consulting who, led by Director Stuart Nelmes, provide us with a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental service covering everything from heritage and ecology to drainage and utilities.
